what to do about abandoned hummingbird nest?

there is a hummingbird nest in our garden. the mother used to always be on her nest but one day, she just mysteriously disappeared. the eggs haven’t even hatched yet…

. Many birds will leave for days at a time to hunt for food or more nesting items.
You can call the local game and wild life and let them know how long the mother has been gone and what action needs to be taken.
They may be interested in taking it and they may tell you to leave it. There are laws against messing with wildlife, but you should always confer with the Wildlife and game commission.
Trying to hatch the eggs is a 24 hour a day job. You will never sleep.
The best thing to do is to not touch it, let mother come back.

There is nothing you can do. The Mom maybe died. Save the eggs and nest for yourself. Put them on a shelf somewhere. Let the eggs just dry out.

I’m sad because we had a hummingbird make a nest on our small palm tree and she was sitting and caring for it for a while… there were 2 eggs at the time, now i have not seen her for a few days and one egg is missing. I found a hatched egg with a small bird in my back porch but sadly it was dead, looks as if a predator of some sort took it, but we have many birds nest in our palm trees in our back yard. I also have 2 large ravens who just wont go away! My concern is for this final hummingbird egg that is left in the nest… I know you all say we can do nothing but isn’t there anything at all I can do????
