What is a good simple formula for hummingbird food?

I google it every time I refill the feeder and everytime I get a different recipe. I want something I can always stick with. Its simple but I keep forgetting the ratio of sugar to water.

1 cup of suger to 4 cups of water IS the standard recipe. No need to add food coloring ,the color of the feeder is enough to attract them. Food coloring is thought to be bad for them..don’t take a chance in harming them.

Its not something you really need a recipe for. Just sugar water. Put in as much to make it sweet…
